Anthony Gray is a Master mariner, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a qualified Member of the British Horological Institute, the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
Robert Sales served his apprenticeship as a clockmaker after leaving school and horology has been his sole occupation. Robert is a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
Giulio Guariglia GradBHI
Giulio is a highly acclaimed watch and clock maker with over 25 years of experience in practical horology and the restoration of fine clocks and watches. In the final examinations held by the British Horological Institute, Giulio swept the board in his year carrying off every major prize, including the Arthur Tremayne memorial prize for the best practical piece of the year. He was also the only candidate from London to achieve a “Pass with Merit” combined with the highest possible marks in the Institute's final written examinations. Currently Giulio is being proposed for the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
Stephen Thackery is a past Chairman of the British Horological Institute and steered the organisation through a period of change and modernisation. He is an experienced practical horologist, working with 20th century watches and smaller clocks; electrical timekeepers of all varieties; and he has a special interest in horological science. Steve is also an experienced technical author and was formerly a senior engineer at British Telecommunications' research facility at Martlesham Heath.
Our gilder and silversmith has 25 years of knowledge and experience in the art. He has received commisions from Aspreys, numerous museums and important institutions and is a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths . He is also the recipient of the Goldsmith's Company's prestigious Jacques Cartier Memorial Award .
